13 Hour Laptop Review

Finding a laptop which comes with a battery that lasts up to 13 hours is not an easy task. Usually its not the battery that has super powers, but the laptop consumes as little as possible. A general rule is that the smaller it is, the lesser it consumes but not only. The processor has to be as basic as possible too. Of course, the capacity of the battery is important also. For it to last as much as it does a lot of features need to be dropped and in the end you are left with a very basic configuration that can work long hours without being plugged in.

Asus EeePC 1015PE is equipped with a 10.1 inch screen with either a matte or high gloss finish. If wish for a colorful machine, you can choose form a great variety of colors: Milky White, Silky Red, Midnight Blue, and Jazz Black. In total it weighs 2.6 pounds.

Its processor is similar to what you would find in a small netbook like this. The Intel Atom N450 processor runs at 1.66 GHz speed and it is paired with a 1 GB internal memory which can be upgraded up to a maximum of 2 GB. Surprisingly, its hard drive is very spacious, offering a 250 GB storage capacity. The graphics card isn’t that powerful unfortunately, it’s only an integrated Intel GMA 3150.

It has a touchpad, which can be in your way if you are typing a lot and you might need to turn it off. Also, you don’t need to plug in headphones because it’s got integrated speakers.

For connecting to other deices it has 3 USB ports and a 2 in 1 media card reader, which will support SDHC, MMC cards. For visual outputs you have the VGA port and for video conferences it has an integrated web camera.

There are not a lot of features left, only maybe the Bluetooth connection , wireless and modem for internet.

Its price is anywhere between $500.00 and $300.00.11
