As time is moving forward, so is technology and so are we. Our society is more and more on the go and we need appropriate equipments to help us with that. Int the field of PCs we can see that smaller, lighter and more powerful machines appear.
Netbooks are relatively new to the market. They have been created for students of for people who don’t need a lot of power, they just need to check their mails or edit texts but all of this on an ultra portable machine. The newest twist to netbooks is that their insides resemble more that of a mainstream machine rather than that to of a low performance machine.

The following laptop, the Samsung Series 3, is a great example of a lightweight PC. Its only drawback is that its price is that of a midsized machine's, at Staples it costs about $700.00, so you might think twice before buying it.
As it is with every netbook, this one is also lightweight, in total it pushes 3.3 pounds with adapter, this with an 11.6 inch screen and a thickness of only 1 inch. This means that it fits easily in any backpack or briefcase.

On the inside it comes equipped with a powerful dual core 1.3GHz Intel Core i3-2357M processor. The internal memory has a standard capacity judging by today’s standards, that is, of 4 GB. The hard drive holds 320 Gbs and runs at 5,400 rotations per minute. The graphics card is an integrated Intel HD 3000, so obviously the Samsung Series 3 was not made for entertainment but rather work.
To keep its light weight the manufacturer did not equip it with an optical drive but it has Bluetooth connection instead. For connecting it to the internet it has standard LAN and Wireless options. It also comes equipped with a VGA, HDMI and three USB ports. Thanks to its SD Card reader it can handle SD cards too.
