Acer Aspire 6930 Laptop Reviews

The Acer Aspire 6930G-6723  is an excellent multimedia machine which isn’t that expensive either. This Acer is not your average ultra heavy entertainment laptop but rather a 16 incher with all the necessary equipment to give you some great movie watching moments. Its price is of $1,000 placing it somewhere in the middle of a multimedia laptop’s price range.

This machine has basically everything that an entertainment laptop should have except a spacious hard drive. Because such laptops are mostly used for movie watching, you might want to store some of them on your hard. The Acer Aspire 6930G-6723 has only a 320 Gb capacity hard drive placing it behind some other great laptops of the same kind. This lack is not necessarily a deal breaker because it does have an optical drive which will allow you to save your data on DVDs. Also, you can watch Blu ray movies directly from the disk thanks to the Blu ray drive.

On the inside it has got a dual core 2.0-GHz Intel Core 2 Duo T5800 processor, which is not last generation but it will serve its purpose flawlessly. To this you have an added 4 GB internal memory which can be expanded up to 8 GB. And of course, let’s not forget the matter of the graphics processor, the Nvidia GeForce 9600M GS with 512 MB of memory will also allow you to play games too. This means that you can use the Acer Aspire 6930G-6723 as an entertainment laptop, a desktop replacement and also as a gaming machine, not bad for a PC that costs $1,000.

It does have some other features like Bluetooth connection, an HDMI and a VGA port. In total it comes equipped with three USB ports, one of which serves as an eSATA combo. For reading different types of multimedia cards it has a 5 in 1 card reader. And finally, to make keeping in touch with friends and family easy, it comes with a built in webcam and microphone.

This machine weighs a total of 7.2 pounds. Not a lot compared to other laptops of this kind but still not as portable as a midsized machine.
