Acer Notebook Laptop Reviews

The Acer Aspire 1830T Timeline X is small but competent little machine. It is a combination between a netbook and a mainstream machine in the sense that it has the power of a 15 incher packed into a light and small package. It can be a really useful for a lot of people; you can easily carry it around and still do some heavy working on it. The only thing that you cannot use it for is gaming.

So here is its configuration. Surprisingly, this little jewel has a quad core Intel Core i7 680UM processor, something that is quite unusual for a netbook. This processor comes with a 4 GB DDR3 memory and a 500 GB hard drive with 5,400 rotations per minute. As I have said before, gaming is not really this machine’s strong point, firstly because the screen is so tiny and secondly because the integrated Intel HD graphics processor will not allow any visuals packed with 3D images. Now you can see that indeed this laptop is powerful enough to give you support in your work or study.

You will also be satisfied to know that in total the Acer Aspire 1830T Timeline X weighs only 3.09 pounds. Its dimensions are 11.2 inches in width, 8 inches in diameter and 1 inch in height. Unfortunately, its outer shell doesn’t really distinguish it from other Acer mini laptops, the shell is plain matte black made out of plastic and the palm rest is manufactured from aluminum.

In the department of ports this machine comes equipped with three 2.0 standard USB, a VGA and an HDMI port. It also has Bluetooth connection which tries to fill in for the lack of an optical drive, as much as it can. The webcam and a microphone is also built in.

This netbook costs $729.99 on Buydig.com, quite expensive for a netbook but there is a price to pay for performance.
