Hp Cq 42 Laptop Review

The HP Compaq Presario CQ42 can be classified as a basic low-cost laptop; it does the job done without any fireworks.

The dimensions of 3.15 mm height, 3.65 mm weight and 22.8 mm depth, the 2.2 kg of weight and the 14 inch diagonal screen size (with a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels) say that this laptop is a standard portable, not too large or small and not heavy, actually. The processor type is Intel Celeron at a speed of 1.9 GHz; the laptop has 2 GB of RAM DDR3 with a storage capacity of 250 GB HDD and Intel GL40 motherboard chipset.  In terms of graphics, we are talking here about the Intel Graphics Media Accelerator X4500. It has a memory card reader included and the operating system is Windows 7 Home Premium on 64 bit. The specifications enhanced the fact that the HP Compaq Presario CQ42 is in fact a user-friendly, standardly equipped device.

The design doesn’t remark itself in any way, isn’t spectacular, but has a sleek and neat look to it. This laptop speaks for itself through all its features when it says that it’s plain and simple just a laptop that gets the job done. Otherwise, the way that the design was thought is rather good: the keyboard is comfortable, with a decent space between the keys.

The laptop has a LightScribe SuperMulti DVD RW, the Double Layer Support. As the connectivity is concerned, there are 3 USB 2.0 ports, Ethernet 100 Mb, VGA, HDMI, 5 in 1 card reader, headphones and microphone.  Along with the preinstalled windows there are several software included as following: HP Advisor, HP Support Assistance, HP Wireless Assistant, HP Software update, HP Recovery Manager, Adobe Reader, Norton Online Backup, Norton Internet Security – but only for 60 days as well as Microsoft Office 2007 which is activated for that same period of time.

The HP Compaq Presario CQ42 is an honest laptop: what you see is what you get. So you cannot be disappointed at the end of your purchase.
